Samsung's forthcoming Ice Cream Sandwich-powered smartphone, the Galaxy Nexus, will reportedly support USB gaming controllers thanks to its frosty new operating system.
The news of the new phone's peripheral friendly features broke after Android engineer Romain Guy confirmed via a tweet that the OS would support USB games controllers. "With Android 4.0 you can use USB gamepads and HDMI to turn your Galaxy Nexus into a video games console!" read Guy's tweet.
As well as supporting USB controllers the next Nexus also houses an HDMI-out, meaning the device will also be able to play the games on their tv.
Ice Cream Sandwich and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus are set to be released in the UK on November 2. The device's official RRP is yet to be announced.
