The latest chapter of the Elder Scrolls, Skyrim, has now received a 40/40 from Famitsu which makes it the first western title to get a perfect score.
How Famitsu works is four different journalists play the game then report back with a score out of 10. A 40/40 means that each of those four believed the game was worthy of a 10/10 score which has only happened 17 times in Famitsu's entire history. For Skyrim to receive such an honor is a huge accomplishment for the title and one that will perhaps fill some of the gap that sits between Japanese gamers and Western ones.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim releases on December 8th in Japan. If you still haven't tried it out, check out our review and see if Skyrim might be a game for you.
