Australian retailer EB games has just released on their official website a recommended retail price for the upcoming Nintendo console, the Nintendo Wii U.
The console has been priced at $AUD 598, which works out at just under £400 and $600. However, Australian prices are known for being grossly inflated. After being contacted, EB Games' Media Manager stated it was "an estimated price which [EB] provide for all products where price has not yet been confirmed by the vendor."
There's no official release date for the Wii U at present, with Nintendo expecting to showcase the console fully at this year's E3. Back in December 2006, the Nintendo Wii launched at $399.95 AUD.
