Spike Video Game Awards 2011: Winners List

Spike's Video Game Awards come but once a year, with the VGA Advisory Council picking which games and their companies will take away trophies for categories such as Best Graphics, Best Downloadable Game, and of course, the coveted Game of the Year. The event was held yesterday in Los Angeles, and was hosted by Zachary Levi, video game fan and star of NBC's "Chuck", alongside voice acting roles in Fallout: New Vegas and Halo: Reach.

Shown on Spike TV, with official international streams airing live on the internet, the 2011 VGAs brought together stars from all backgrounds, such as musicians, actors and wrestlers, as well as members of the video game industry and communities. Often questioned for it's integrity and bad taste, most viewers of the show look forward solely to the premier of unseen trailers for upcoming games or even announcements of brand new ones.

Needless to say, awards were given out to a lot of very deserving games, though there were some surprises. Read the full list of winners below:
