Aside from the mysterious new action RPG title, Square Enix has now announced another new IP, Chousoku Henkei Gyrozetter, a card-based title which will both appear as an arcade title as well as a Nintendo 3DS title.
From what they have revealed so far, this game will focus around driving and fighting using a card-based gameplay system. Players will take control of a robot that has the ability to transform into a car. The coolest thing about this system is that when playing the title in an arcade, the arcade cabinet will actually transform itself from a robot type setup with levers and such to a simpler car setup.
Square Enix is using a ton of resources this time around in order to ensure the validity of the cars' designs. This means they are chatting with Japanese car companies like Mazda, Mitsubishi, Mitsuoko, and so on. They are also receiving assistance from designers who have worked in some of the biggest mech focused series such as Macross and Gundam.
Anyone going to the Jump Festa event taking place on December 17th and 18th in Japan will be able to get a first glimpse at the title's trailer as well as a prototype of the transforming arcade cabinet. No word on whether or not this title will be made available in the west however it should be out some time in 2012.
