The official Resident Evil 6 page on Xbox.com has been updated with some rather curious information, as it states that the recently announced survival horror game will feature online co-operative play for up to six people.
The listing, found here also states that the game will feature online multiplayer for 2-8 people as well as content downloads, which Capcom have become rather famous for throughout the years.
This makes sense, considering the director of the game is Eiichiro Sasaki. He directed a lesser known Resident Evil title in the past called Resident Evil Outbreak, which was a game purely based on co-operative network play on the PlayStation 2. Resident Evil 5 also featured co-operative play.
If you missed the Resident Evil 6 announcement trailer, then be sure to check it out. The game was released by Capcom on the eve of the series' 15th anniversary.
