Here's a friendly reminder that BioWare's Mass Effect 3 demo is out today. The demo features one of the earlier stages when the Reapers invade Earth, and a level from the latter portion of the game.

If you haven't been following, Mass Effect 3 is the conclusion to BioWare's epic space opera. Picking up from the end of Mass Effect 2: Arrival (DLC) Commander Shepard escapes from Earth as the Reapers begin their invasion. It's up to Shepard to rally the universe together to defeat this seemingly insurmountable threat.

Mass Effect 3 introduces multiple play modes, including an Action, Story and RPG Mode. Action Mode gets rid of all dialogue options, making the game a fluid and action-packed third person shooter, whereas RPG Mode includes all story and dialogue options, as well as a slew of role-playing mechanics.

New to the game is a survival co-op mode where up to four players can fend off wave after wave of enemies. In this mode players will be able to create their own hero, choosing from the majority of races featured in the single player campaign. You won't miss anything if you don't play the co-op, but doing so will provide you with bonuses and a higher chance of a better ending.

The demo is available on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. 360 users received access earlier today, but the demo is out now for all platforms so be sure to check it out. You'll also earn bonus in-game goods for 38 Studio's Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning by playing and completing the demo.

The Reaper invasion begins March 6 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

PS. Here's a teaser for the latest trailer, dubbed "Take Earth Back."
