Square Enix has teased upcoming downloadable content for Final Fantasy XIII-2 by revealing that there will each of the "volumes" will focus on a different character. (Check out our review!)
Motomu Toriyama and Yoshinori Kitase revealed that the downloadable content would be available in the months following the game's launch. They classify the main game as "Noel and Serah's volume", with the downloadable content appearing as extensions to this.
This means we will be seeing a Lightning volume, a Snow volume and a Sazh volume. The duo also revealed that there would be more, that would appear as further to this. However, they didn't specify whether these would also be character-driven volumes.
Square Enix has announced that the first batch of downloadable content for the game will go live on the 7th of February on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. However, since the game will also feature downloadable content in the form of costumes, missions and weapons, it's unclear when we'll be seeing these character expansions.
It appears as though Square Enix really want to expand on the story of this cast as much as they can. You'll be able to check out the "basic" version of the game when it releases tomorrow in Europe. All you North Americans are already playing it!
