Final Fantasy XIII-2 has burst straight in at the top of the UK video games sales charts this week, following a very strong release last week. It managed to hold off the Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection, which debuted in second spot.
This meant that FIFA 12's run at the top was brought to a rather abrupt end, as it fell down to 4th in the charts. This was a result of Battlefield 3 sales also climbing, the opposite of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. While Modern Warfare 3 was in 2nd last week, it dropped down to 9th.
The other big new release this week was SoulCalibur V, which appeared in 5th. NeverDead, Konami's other release this week, failed to chart inside the Top 40, which will be seen as a blow for the publisher.
The rest of the Top 10 was made up of familiar faces. Assassin's Creed: Revelations, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Just Dance 3 and Saints Row: The Third all continuing to sell well. It was the first time in a while that neither Zumba Fitness titles appeared in the Top 10 though.
