Ubisoft took to the stage earlier and announced a brand new IP called Watch Dogs, which isn't a social game or one that uses motion controls.

The game takes place during 2003 in New York, after someone has unleashed a technological virus across the city. The result is a city's technology that is now controlled by a major corporation, to ensure it doesn't happen again.

One of the themes of the game will be surveillance. You will be able to manipulate the city's technology to your benefit. The gameplay demo showed off the protagonist listening in on people's phone calls, changing traffic lights and even raising a bridge to set up an escape route for himself.

There were no platforms announced for the game, but it could either be for PS3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii U. Or, it could be for a full complement of next-generation consoles. Only time will tell.

Be sure to check out the gameplay footage below. The graphics are pretty special, this game has a lot of potential.
