After being announced in 2009 at E3 during the Sony Press Conference many fans were curious how FINAL FANTASY XIV would look on PS3 compared to its PC counter part. Well three years later and a whole new revamp of the troubled MMORPG Square Enix showed off some screenshots of the PlaySation 3 Version featuring an all new UI (User Interface).

Besides the changed UI the game has been ported over quite nicely and looks just as good as the PC version. The updated UI looks like it should have a better feel on consoles since most people will use a controller instead of a mouse and keyboard. Also if you don't like the way the UI is set up, you can enable, disable, and reposition it to suit how you want to play.

The amount of info on the PS3 version of XIV is still extremely limited since its announcement. Still for such a grand game such as this you think that leaving fans waiting and wondering would leave them cautious. We still don't even know if the console version will support mouse and keyboard. A Realm Reborn is almost in alpha test phase and is still on track for a simultaneous PC/PS3 release in 2013.

Square still plans on releasing a PC and PS3 beta as well sometime between Fall of 2012 and release. What do you think of these new screenshots and does this change how you feel about playing FINAL FANTASY XIV? Let us know in the comments below.
