Journey Soundtrack Receives Grammy Nomination

Austin Wintory, composer for thatgamecompany's PSN adventure Journey has received a nomination for a Grammy in the category of "Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media". His work will be going up against several notable composers such as John Williams, Howard Shore, and Hans Zimmer. If Wintroy wins this will only be the second Grammy ever won for video game music.

The first game music ever nominated was Christopher Tin's "Baba Yetu" the theme for Civilization 4 which won a Grammy for "Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalists" in 2010.

Along with Journey that other titles nominated in the same category are The Adventures of Tintin, The Artist, The Dark Knight Rises, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and Hugo. The 55th Annual Grammy Awards will take place on February 10th, 2013 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
