One of the many announcements following yesterdays Nintendo Direct, Monolith Soft unveiled their newest game for the Wii U. The team responsible for the Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii had a small teaser trailer to show off what they have been working on so far. The name is still unknown, but the 'X' at the end of the trailer suggests that it will be a brand new 'Xeno' game.
From the trailer you can tell that the gameplay will also be similar to how Xenoblade Chronicles played. The world has giant monsters to defeat in a futuristic fantasy setting. As an added measure of over the top, there will also be mechs for you to ride around in. By the looks of the HUD shown off so far it looks as if there will possibly be co-op available with up to four players.
The Wii U has had a rather slow launch and this new project is the type of title that people would buy a system for. Monolith Software has got one of the best looking Wii U titles announced so far and will show off more details later this year.
