After the announcement of the PlayStation Vita Wifi/3G models getting a price cut in Japan, most suspected that this would follow soon for the rest of the world. Sadly Sony Worldwide Studios president, Shuhei Yoshida has commented and said that a price reduction is not planned for any other regions.
This came out during a roundtable interview from the PlayStation Meeting 2013. The current exchange rate is the sole reason why the price is changed at all in Japan. The Japanese Vita price cut will take the price from 24,890 yen to 19,980 yen starting February 28.
There is also no change in sight as far as memory cards are concerned, which has been a major complaints from various consumers. Were you hoping to see a Vita price cut where you live or are you still not interested wither way? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
