The 3G iteration of Sony's PlayStation Vita has had its price slashed by the majority of North American retailers, but it may only be a temporary deal.
Joystiq are reporting that the handheld will now be retailing for $199.97, as opposed to previous price of $299.99. However, while some retailers are stating it's a permanent price cut, others have stated that it's only a short-term deal until the weekend.
It's believed the move has been taken as a result of the price cut that happened recently in Japan. It managed to drive a significant number of sales and North American retailers are looking to do the same.
