The highly anticipated sequel to Phantasy Star Online was slated for an "Early 2013" release on PC for North America, but things have changed over at SEGA. A SEGA representative talked to Polygon about the release of Phantasy Star Online 2 and what the hold up was.
This is what SEGA had to say about the games release:
[[quote]]"Originally slated for an early 2013 launch, Sega can officially confirm that PS02 has been delayed,"[[/quote]]
[[quote]]"We don't have any specifics but will update everyone as soon as there are more details to share."[[/quote]]
The game released in Japan on PC last July and on Vita in February of this year. The game has already attained over one million players and is praised for how it handled free to play.
