Anyone who attends or watches E3 from home knows that Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo press conferences have the most news in them. Now the big N has decided that they will no longer be holding a conference during the week of E3. Instead the company will be holding smaller software-focused events.
This news come from CEO Satoru Iwata, after the companies financial results briefing. Nintendo was not known for having the most impressive conference out of the main three, but it was defiantly where the most memes came from. The company had this to say about the news:
First, we decided not to host a large-scale presentation targeted at everyone in the international audience where we announce new information as we did in the past. [[/quote]]
Nintendo has been using Nintendo Directs for over a year no to get information about all of their upcoming projects out to fans all over the world. This also has to be extremely more convenient and cost efficient than holding a giant event at E3.
Still this doesn't mean that Nintendo's body will not be ready for another E3 in the future. What are some of your favorite Nintendo memories from past E3's? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
