During the recent Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo's president, Satoru Iwata announced a new Mario & Sonic Olympics title.
Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games is currently in development for the Wii U. It will include a wide variety of sports, including skiing, pairs figure skating, snowboarding, bob-sledding, and curling. Depending on the event, players will have to use the Wii Remote Plus controller, the Wii U GamePad or both.
In addition, the game will also include events set in the world of Mario and Sonic, in which characters will have special abilities.
Although the Sochi Winter Olympics will take place in February 2014, Iwata didn't announce a release date for the game.
