Ubisoft has gone on record offering their support for the Nintendo Wii U, which hasn't been seeing the stellar sales that Nintendo were expecting.
In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, the CEO of Ubisoft Yves Guillemot said his company ""will continue to support the Wii U this Christmas." He added that they are "expecting it [the Wii U] to take off in terms of sales" during this period.
Unlike the Nintendo Wii, the Wii U has struggled since its release. Some publishers have opted to support the PS4 and Xbox One instead of the Wii U, which must be concerning for Nintendo, especially as they claimed they would have strong third-party support.
Due to the release windows for the PS4 and Xbox One around the holiday season, there were also fears that the Nintendo Wii's sales struggles would continue, as consumers opt for to buy one of the two newer platforms.
