The Australian Classification Review Board is at it once again with Saints Row IV this time. After already declaring that Saints Row IV didn't meet the R18+ classification guidelines before, the game was resubmitted and the review board met on Monday July 29, 2013.
The review board has stated that Saints Row IV will remain classified even after all of the changed made to the game that kept them from meeting the R18+ rating. The reason was because of an alien anal probe weapon and a side mission that features use of "alien narcotics" that was tied to the in-game superpowers.
An Australian Edition of the game was even show at PAX Aus. that had the anal probe weapon and alien drug side mission omitted from that version of the game. So why the game is still not R18+ is still unclear at this time.
Hopefully there will be a way for Australian gamers to play Saints Row IV without importing the game. How do you feel about the fact that another game has been refused Classification in Australia? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
Saints Row IV releases in North America on August 20th and in Europe on August 23rd.
