Treating both Legend of Zelda fans and those on a budget, Nintendo is releasing Wind Waker HD two weeks early on the eShop and cutting the price of the deluxe Wii U down to $299.
A complaint among many gamers was the price tags of both Wii U systems. While not everyone plays digital games, paying an extra fifty dollars (totaling at $349) for a small memory expansion left a bad taste in the mouths of many gamers. But know their voices have been heard with the deluxe Nintendo Wii U's price cut.
Further catering the digital crowd, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD will release on the eShop on September 20th. This is two weeks before the October 4th release of the boxed edition. Also, the Wind Waker HD bundle, which includes the 32 GB deluxe Wii U model with the game pre-installed, will also be priced at a more manageable $299.
Though Nintendo has often denied that the price of the Wii U was a notable for the system's poor sales, they seem to have changed their minds for the better.
