As part of its Tokyo Game Show 2013 activities, it has been announced that Yoko Shimomura will be reprising her role to compose the music in Kingdom Hearts 3.
The confirmation came during a Square Enix Music Composer Special Talk Show and it came directly from the mouth of Yoko Shimomura herself.
Shimomura has been the main composer for the Kingdom Hearts series since the original game released back in 2002. During this time, she's helped to compose some powerful themes, such as "Dearly Beloved" and "Destati".
Aside from being involved with the Kingdom Hearts 3 OST, Shimomura is also getting rather involved with additional Square Enix properties. She will be working on Kingdom Hearts x[Chi], a browser-ased game, and Final Fantasy XV, which will be releasing on the PS4 and Xbox One.
Kingdom Hearts 3 doesn't have a concrete release date yet, but it's being developed for the PS4 and Xbox One. It will continue where Dream Drop Distance left off and will serve as the final chapter in the "Dark Seeker" story arch.
