Japan has finally found out when they will be able to purchase a PlayStation 4, but unfortunately that will not happen until February 22, 2014 for 39,980 yen. The main reason for this delay in release as compared to North America and Europe getting the PS4 this November was due to lack of software.
Now when the PS4 releases in Japan this February, Sony feels like they will have a much better list of titles to offer Japanese players at release. Sony is also in full overhaul mode in terms of mass production for getting the console out this November in the West.
A special edition of the PS4 will also include a downloadable version of Knack free of charge at no extra cost for a limited time, but is only for Japan. What do you think about Japan not getting the PS4 until 3 months after the systems release in the West? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
