Soul Caliber Going The Way of Free-To-Play

Following the trend of other fighting games such as Dead or Alive and Tekken, Soul Caliber will soon enter the fray of Free-To-Play fighters. The name of this installment is Soul Caliber: Lost Swords and it will release on the PS3.

Of course, Namco Bandai has to make money somehow with any game they produce. As of now, the plan is to turn a profit from the sales of virtual items in Lost Swords. This will make the second major title adopting the FTP model, the first being Ace Combat Infinity, slated for a release this year exclusively on the PS3.
