Namco Bandai announced back in July, to celebrate Soul Calibur II's 10th anniversary, Soul Calibur II HD Online for PS3 and Xbox 360, with Nintendo fans being left out of this HD port. However, during Tokyo Game Show, the franchise's developers revealed that there's still some hope for a Wii U version.
When asked about a possible Wii U version, the developers said that there are no plans for it, but it could happen if Namco Bandai sees a demand. The development team also suggested that fans could make their requests for the Wii U port on the producer's Twitter account (@hoshino_calibur). If Soul Calibur II is gets released on the Wii U, then there's a possibility that the GameCube's exclusive character, Link, might also join the game's rooster.
The developers also stated that they are planning post-release content for the HD post if the game sells well. In addition, the producer released new screenshots of the game.
Soul Calibut II HD Online will be available this Autumn on PSN and XBLA.
