During the PS4's launch event, Naughty Dog revealed the 'Left Behind' DLC, the first single-player DLC for The Last of Us. Taking place before the events of the main campaign, 'Left Behind' will focus on Ellie and her best friend Riley as they attend a military boarding school in the Boston quarantine zone.
According to Naughty Dog, just like the main campaign focused on the bond between Ellie and Joel, 'Left Behind' will focus and explore the bond between Ellie and Riley, with Ellie being the playable character throughout the entirety of the DLC. In addition, Naughty Dog promised that 'Left Behind' will deliver the same quality and gameplay that players experienced in The Last of Us, as well as a few surprises.
The 'Left Behind' DLC will be available in early 2014, and will be available free for those that purchased The Last of Us Season Pass. For those that don't have the Season Pass, the DLC can be bought separately for $14.99.
