Square Enix has decided to cancel the next-gen Hitman title that was in development at Square Enix Montreal. The studio will instead be assigned to other titles.
The game was informally announced last year, but according to the LinkedIn profile of Senior Game Designer Richard Knight, the game has since been cancelled. Knight is now working on prototyping for tablet games, which is the new main focus of the studio.
Square Enix Montreal was setup last year, continuing the growth of Montreal as a hub for video game development. Square Enix also have Eidos Montreal in the same city.
