Ubisoft has announced that Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag's campaign expansion, Freedom Cry, will be released as a standalone game for PS4, PS3 and PC. At the moment, Ubisoft has yet to confirm if this standalone version will be released on Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
The 'Freedom Cry' DLC will feature 4+ hours of content, and will let players take control of shipmate assassin Adewale. Taking place fifteen years after the event of Black Flag, Adewale has become a trained assassin, and when he finds himself shipwrecked in Saint-Domingue with no weapon nor crew, he sets off on his own adventure.
Freedom Cry will be released for PS4 and PS3 on the 19th of February, while the PC version will arrive one week later, on the 25th of February. Both versions of the title will be available for $14.99.
