Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition, the previously announced PS4 version of Diablo III, is being developed for Xbox One, revealed Blizzard to VideoGamer. Despite this confirmation, Blizzard can't confirm if whether or not the title will be available on Microsoft's console.
"I don't know where we are with Microsoft right now so I can't really comment on what that contract looks like. The point is we are developing for Xbox [One] and PS4 simultaneously. We hit those major platforms and then our goal as a development team is to make them run," said Alex Mayberry, Diablo III's lead producer.
Mayberry also states that "it makes more sense" to develop the title for both consoles, even if there's no confirmation for Xbox One. He continues on to say that this something that his team had already done with the PS3 and Xbox 360, and the decision to release the title on Xbox One is up to Blizzard and Microsoft.
Diablo III: Reaper of Souls "˜Ultimate Evil' edition will feature shorter loading times, and a better graphic shaders, with the game running at 60 frames per second and 1080p resolution, and it will also include the game's expansion, Reaper of Souls. At the moment, a release date and price for Diablo III: Reaper of Souls "˜Ultimate Evil' edition has yet to be revealed.
