All Star Wars Games Are Non-Canon, Says Lucasfilm

Lucasfilm has stated that only the six movies and Clone Wars TV show are considered canon in the Star Wars universe. This means that all Star Wars games and their stories are only meant to expand universe of Star Wars, and aren't considered relevant to the overall plot.

Despite this, Lucasfilm has confirmed that just like the new trilogy, all future games, comics and more, will be part of the franchise's canon. All of these new Star Wars products will be coordinated under Kathleen Kennedy, the new president of Lucasfilm.

"We have an unprecedented slate of new Star Wars entertainment on the horizon. We're set to bring Star Wars back to the big screen, and continue the adventure through games, books, comics, and new formats that are just emerging. This future of interconnected storytelling will allow fans to explore this galaxy in deeper ways than ever before," said Kennedy.

At the moment, two Star Wars games are currently being developed at DICE and Visceral, with both being considered canon.
