The traveling Distant Worlds concert will return to Chicago on August 24 to give a special tribute to 20 years of Final Fantasy VI. Attendees will see several new performances including a solo from ever beloved Nobuo Uematsu.

Some confirmed pieces from Final Fantasy VI that will be featured in the concert include Dancing Mad, Opera "Maria & Draco," Dark World, which will feature Uematsu and Arnie Roth, and the very first performance of the Final Fantasy VI Character Theme Medley. Terra and her companions will not be the only focus, though, as there will also be a performance of Final Fantasy VIII's Eyes on Me, Final Fantasy XIV's Answers, performed by Susan Colloway, and the first time performance of Final Fantasy X's Hymn of the Fayth/The Sending Suite. The concert promises many surprises that are waiting for fans of the series during its August performance.

Tickets will go on sale April 28 with the Early Chocobo tickets available at $15 off when the code 'chocobo' is entered before May 1st at 12pm Central Time or while supplies last. May 1 is also when VIP tickets will go on sale which will allow buyers onto the center section of the concert hall's main floor. VIPs will be able to participate in a Meet & Greet to meet Nobuo Uematsu, Arnie Roth, and Susan Calloway after the concert for photos and autographs.

While there will certainly be more concerts this year from Distant Worlds, a tribute to the 20 years of Final Fantasy VI is definitely an opportunity that should not be missed.
