As of June 13, four more titles on the Nintendo Wii will acquire the Nintendo Selects label. Other than an altered box cover, this added title means that gamers will be able to purchase these Wii games at roughly half of their original price.
The four Wii games Nintendo has chosen are Super Mario Galaxy 2, Mario Party 9, New Super Mario Bros., and Wii Party. In particular, Super Mario Galaxy 2 and New Super Mario Bros. have often fell victim to high pricing even in the used market making acquiring them both expensive and inconvenient. But now, with the subsequent price slash, those who first missed out on these great titles can enjoy a great gaming experience without being at the mercy of retailers.
While the Wii may be a dead console, the backwards compatibility of the Nintendo Wii U grants gamers the opportunity to experience another set of excellent games by Nintendo.
