The PS3 exclusive Soul Calibur: Lost Swords is now available to download from the PlayStation Store, Namco Bandai has announced. Similar to what happened with Ace Combat Infinity, the title was originally scheduled to be released during the Winter, but Namco Bandai delayed it's launch in order to improve the quality of the title.
Lost Swords' gameplay will be focused on the single player component, with players having to complete quests in order to earn items and customize their characters. Customizing plays a crucial role in the game, allowing gamers to equip different armours and weapons, and imbue them with element-specific characteristics. Depending on the weapon and it's element type, players will be able to deal more or less damage to their opponents.
The title will also feature an online component, although it might not be what players are expecting. In this online component, players will be able to upload their characters, which can fight alongisde your friends as NPC. By doing this, players will earn Friend Points that are used to make the character stronger.
Those that download Soul Calibur: Lost Swords in its first four weeks will be receiving an additional set of bonus items.
