Square Enix will soon bring a third classic title from the Final Fantasy library to the Steam store, but it may not be the title fans are expecting. Instead of going in numeric order from VII to VIII to IX, Square Enix will be sending Final Fantasy III over to the digital, PC store.
On the Steam page description, Final Fantasy III promises to include the following features:
- New and improved 3D visuals and story sequences
- Quicker browsing through the monster bestiary and other game record
- New visual designs for the Job Mastery Cards
- Upgraded graphics for PC
- Includes Steam Trading Cards & Achievements
Final Fantasy III marked the series first usage of the Job System. Players were able to change their characters from one class to the other such as Ranger, White Mage, and even the Onion Knight. Since its first US appearance on the Nintendo DS, Final Fantasy III has been brought over to the PSP, mobile devices, and even the OUYA.
Sadly, a price and release date have not yet been given for Final Fantasy III so gamers may have to wait a little while for its release.
