Since its initial release on the Nintendo DS, the Art Academy series has had several sequels on the Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. With its upcoming release, Art Academy will be tackling a new, more specific subject to capture with its paint and pastels: Pokémon.
Titled Pokémon Art Academy, new and experienced artists alike will be able to capture their favorite pocket monsters on the Nintendo 3DS screen. Guided by Professor Andy, gamers will be taught how to draw and color 40 Pokémon including Pikachu, Torchik, Charizard, and Fletchling. In Free Paint mode, the number of Pokémon templates will increase to a total of 100. Of course, the 3DS camera can be used to scan other images of Pokémon to be used for your artistic rendering. Once artists are done with their masterpiece, they can upload them to the Miiverse.
Pokémon Art Academy will arrive on store shelves and the Nintendo eShop on July 4th in Europe and later this fall in North America.
