As of June 9th, the Xbox One can be bought without Microsoft's Kinect. This option will not only serve as a relief for conspiracy theorists, but also save buyers a large chunk of change.
The price of the standalone Xbone will run North Americans $399 and Europeans £349. That's a $100 savings in NA and a £30 savings in EU. Microsoft stated that this decision came from user feedback from gamers who were not interested in buying a device they didn't intend to use. However, Microsoft will also sell the Kinect separately this Fall in case they change their minds. Coincidentally, the new price tag for the Xbox One will be the same for the PS4.
Is this future price drop enough to buy the Xbox One, or does the console still need to offer a little something more? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
