A new set of fighters are joining the Super Smash Bros. roster: customizable Miis. Along with this, players will be able to summon fighters to assist in battle via trophy figurines.
The Miis come in three varieties: brawlers, gunners, and sword wielders. There are a total of 12 options that players can choose from that will determine what the special moves of the Miis are. All in all, there are a total of 46 special moves.
Masahiro Sakurai, the producer of Super Smash Bros., briefly mentioned how he wanted to include the Miis in the Super Smash Bros. in the past, but that the technology at the time just wouldn't allow it.
The Nintendo figurines in the game are much like trophies. They work by placing them in the lower left corner of the gamepad which will activate them. It appears that, for a brief time, they will fight in place of your character unlike regular trophies that fight alongside you.
Super Smash Bros. will be out on the Nintendo Wii u and Nintendo 3DS this holiday season.
