Sony has pushed PS4 Firmware Update 1.71 live for all users, and it fixes some rather annoying bugs, while improving system stability.
Coming in at 194 MB in size, Sony's patch notes at present were rather basic: "System software stability during use of some features has been improved."
From a bug perspective, things a rather different. Firmware update 1.71 adds a fix that stops the DualShock 4 vibration feature from being deactivated every time the console was turned off or placed on stand-by. A fix has also been issued for the bug that prevented PlayStation Plus users from being able to upload save games to the cloud. This will now happen automatically without the user having to overwrite previous saves.
So yes, while it's not a ground breaking update (that we know of), it does at least fix some niggling issues and provide some additional system stability, which is always good.
