Freedom Wars, an action RPG developed by Japan Studio's, will be released in both physical and digital format in Europe. The title was originally going to be released exclusively in digital format, but after listening to feedback from fans, Sony decided to make the title available at retail as well.
"As many of you are aware, earlier this month we announced that Japan Studio's forthcoming action RPG Freedom Wars would be a digital-only release when it arrives here in the SCEE region later this year," said Fred Dutton, the European PlayStation blog manager. "Since then you've let us know here on PlayStation Blog, on forums and on social media that you really wanted to see a full title card release for the game. And we've been listening."
Freedom Wars' plot is set 100,000 years in the future, where planet Earth can barely support live anymore, and the number of humans and resources has diminished significantly. Due to this, the human race was forced to live in Panopticons, underground cities that offer protection and minimal conditions to live. The player is tasked with fightning giant monsters called Abductors and protect the Panopticons and its civilians.
Freedom Wars will be available for PS Vita, with a release date yet to be revealed for both North America and Europe.
