Despite an Assassin's Creed title being development for PS4, Xbox One and PC, Ubisoft hasn't forgotten about the last consoles. Thanks to a leaked trailer and images, we can now confirm that Assassin's Creed: Rogue is in development for PS3 and Xbox 360, and the title will still launch this year.
Although the trailer was already removed, we can still take a look at the images, which gives us some light about the game's setting. Assassin's Creed: Rogue will be similar to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, with the game offering a mix between land and ship-based gameplay. However, the story will take players to explore the Arctic this time around.
Although not much more can be confirmed from the leaked images, rumours indicate that the story will take place after the events Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, with the main character being a Templar. Although this is considered only rumours and speculation, Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot has previously stated that this title would be some sort of Assassin's Creed 4.5.
Along with some story details, the leaked images also revealed some of the game's DLC. Called the Ultimate Hunter Pack, this expansion pack will include a new ship, swords and a ship wheel. The Siege of Fort de Sable mission will also be included.
UPDATE: The title has now been officially confirmed. Assassin's Creed: Rogue will take place between the events of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and Assassin's Creed 3, with players taking control of Templar Shay Patrick Cormac. By using ships, players will be able to travel across the frigid North Atlantic, and visit places such as Appalachian River Valley and New York.
Assassin's Creed: Rogue will be available on the 11th of November for PS3 and Xbox 360. More details are expected to be revealed at Gamescom.
