Bungie has announced that The Dark Below, the first expansion for the upcoming shooter Destiny, will launch in December on all consoles.
The Dark Below expansion will introduce new story missions, which will take place in a tomb beneath the surface of the Moon. This expansion will also include new competitive multiplayer maps and new co-op adventures. In addition, PlayStation players will also get access to a timed exclusive multiplayer map.
A second expansion pack, House of Wolves, is set to release next year. The Dark Below DLC will be available for £19.99/$19.99, or you can buy the Expansion Pass, which gives you access to both expansions, for £34.99/$34.99.
In addition, Eric Hirschberg, Activision's CEO, took the stage yesterday during Sony's conference to announce that Destiny has become the most pre-ordered new IP in history, and "PS4 is leading that charge". A new Destiny trailer was also revealed on stage, featuring several multiplayer modes including Skirmish, Rumble, Salvage, Clash, Combined Arms, Control and Iron Banner.
Destiny will launch worldwide on the 9th of September for PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
