343 Industries announced during Microsoft's Gamescom press conference that the multiplayer beta for Halo 5 Guardians will be coming out on the 29th of December. The beta will be open for three weeks.
The beta will be focusing on a four-vs-four arenas where both red and blue sides will be equipped with the exact same loadouts. It will include seven maps, three game modes, 11 weapons and seven armor sets for customization. Players will be rewarded with content that will be carried over to the full game. The beta will run in 60 fps and be hosted on dedicated servers.

Alongside the beta, there will also be an interactive Halo Channel which will be available on the Xbox One and Windows 8.1 devices. Players will be able to access content within the Halo universe, share and view media and watch streamed content via the twitch integration.
