Hideo Kojima has confirmed today during his Twitch stream that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain are coming to Steam. This release marks the first time ever that a Metal Gear Solid game is available on Steam, but a release date for both titles wasn't revealed.

During Sony's conference, Kojima took the stage to show a new trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. This trailer featured Snake using the classic cardboard box. Players will be able to use the box in several ways, including distracting the enemy, using it as a decoy, and more. In addition, players on PC can use the Steam Cardboard Box in the game, which will have specific functions.

Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain will be available for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC, next year.
