Shuhei Yoshida, the boss of Sony Worldwide Studios, has revealed in an interview with Eurogamer that despite Ryse of the Tomb Raider being released exclusively on Xbox next year, he believes that the game will eventually come to PS4. Yoshida has also stated that he had no idea about this deal regarding the game, even thought it was confirmed to release on PS4 and PC back at E3.
"I was like, ah yeah, they're going deeper into the games already announced, you know, same kind of lineup, until they talked about Tomb Raider being exclusive," said Yoshida. "It's very interesting the way Phil Spencer said, what we are saying is, in holiday 2015 Tomb Raider is exclusive to Xbox. So it's open to interpretation. But still, we didn't anticipate something like this would happen."
"I hope the game will come out eventually on PS4. But how can I tell? Other than that cryptic message by Phil Spencer. In general there are lots of people who are angry, who emotionally reacted to the announcement. Some people created an image saying negative things, like the end of Tomb Raider. It was a very emotional response."
Ryse of the Tomb Raider will be available in Holiday 2015 for Xbox One and Xbox 360. At the moment it isn't clear if the game will be available on other consoles at a later date.
