Although more details about Yakuza Zero: The Oath's Place were expected to be revealed at Tokyo Game Show, Sega decided to showcase the game at Sony's conference this morning.
This trailer gives us a first glimpse on the game and its main protagonist, Kazuma Kiryu. As a prequel set in 1988, The Oath's Place will allow players to witness the past of Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima, with the latter acting as a second main character. Although the trailer only includes 2 minutes of cutscenes, SEGA promises that we will see over 15 minutes of gameplay footage at Tokyo Game Show.
Yakuza Zero: The Oath's Place will launch in Japan in Spring 2015. The game has yet to be confirmed to release outside Japan.
