The recently announced Just Cause 3 is going to be a single-player only game, Avalanche Studios has revealed. Despite the success of Just Cause 2's multiplayer after the release of the fan-created multiplayer mod, the developer states that single-player experience is what the team is focusing on.
"They've actually supported the game and helped it stay alive for so many years after the game was released. It's so fun watching the game being played when you have hundreds of players," Avalanche co-founder Christofer Sundberg told Game Informer.
"We'll continue to support the multiplayer mod, but for us the single-player experience is what we're focusing on right now. Maybe sometime down the line we'll take Rico into the world of multiplayer, but right now it's the sandbox experience."
Just Cause 3 launches in 2015 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
