Sony has announced that the PlayStation Vita's Youtube and Maps apps will soon be losing their support. No reason has been given for the removal of both of these apps.
Starting today, the Youtube app is no longer available to download from PlayStation Store. Support for the app will be fully removed on the 20th of April. Players will still be able to watch YouTube videos via browser, but some features that were included in the Youtube app won't be available.
As for the Map app and near features, all will be removed automatically in a PS Vita system update that will launch sometime in March.
