Forza Horizon 2 is getting a standalone expansion called Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious, Microsoft has announced. This expansion will be based on the Fast & Furious movie franchise and its upcoming movie Furious 7.
Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious takes place before the events of the movie. Players will be recruited by Fast & Furious expert mechanic Tej Parker to source cars for the Fast & Furious crew's next big mission.
The expasion will feature over 11 new vehicles, including 1970 Dodge Charger R/T Fast, 2012 Nissan GT-R, 1998 Toyota Supra, 2014 Maserati Ghibli S, 1970 Plymouth Road Runner, 2015 Dodge Charger R/T, 1970 Plymouth Cuda, 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, among other cars yet to be revealed. These vehicles can be unlocked by completing game challenges. Players will also be able to to take photos of their favourite cars and share them with other players.
"Forza is synonymous with racing and fun, so it's only natural for us to work with one of the most celebrated action franchises in the world," said Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox. "This is a great way to bring Forza players into the world of "˜Fast & Furious,' and in Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious, every fan will get a chance to go wheels-first into the exciting action of the "˜Fast & Furious' franchise."
Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious will be released on the 27th of March for Xbox One and Xbox 360. The standalone expansion can be downloaded for free until the 10th of April. After April 10, Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious will be available for 9.99$.
