Capcom has revealed today new details about the upcoming remaster of Devil May Cry 4. The highlight of these details is the confirmation that Vergil, Lady and Trish will be playable characters in Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition.
Playable for the third time in the series, Vergil will be playable in all missions and his move set will be based on his rendition in Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition, along with elements of his DmC rendition. Vergil will also feature a brand new "Concentration" mechanic, which make his attacks grow stronger the more flawlessly he fights. Trish, which will be playable on Dante's missions, will make use of the Sparda sword and her guns to show her skills in battle in a great variety of ways. As for Lady, she will feature a fighting style that's quite different from the other characters, as she relies on firearms for long-range fighting. Lady will be playable on Nero's missions.
This remaster also includes the Legendary Dark Knight Mode, a mode where players will face a greater number of enemies. The game will run in 1080p at 60 frames per second, and feature "improvements to the game tempo and balancing".
Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition will release sometime this Summer. A price has yet to be revealed.
