Konami has confirmed that the upcoming PS4 exclusive Silent Hills has been cancelled. Reports indicate that the game's teaser demo P.T. is going to be removed from PlayStation Store after this week's update.
"Konami is committed to new Silent Hill titles, however the embryonic "˜Silent Hills' project developed with Guillermo del Toro and featuring the likeness of Norman Reedus will not be continued," Konami said. "In terms of Kojima and Del Toro being involved, discussions on future Silent Hill projects are currently underway, and please stay tuned for further announcements."
Silent Hills was being developed by Hideo Kojima, which could imply that this sad turn of events is just another nail in the coffin between Hideo Kojima and Konami.
